How to celebrate the last dance in style
The last dance is always a special occasion, whether it’s celebrating the end of a long relationship or celebrating a birthdays special, it can be a truly special moment in your life.
Here are seven ways to celebrate that special last dance and get yourself ready for the celebration.
Make a special toast to your favourite dancing partner.
Whether you’re celebrating a milestone or just having fun, making a toast to a dancing partner is a great way to celebrate your favourite dance.
Toast the partner in a special way, such as by kissing or hugging, and then make the toast to the dancing partner with a special cocktail.
If you’re hosting a special celebration for someone special, you can even toast your special friend in your own way, using a favourite drink from your favourite bar.
Make your own cocktails.
A good way to remember the last time you danced is to make a cocktail to remember your last dance, such a raspberry lemonade or a coconut watermelon.
Just remember to mix it with a shot of rum or gin, and garnish it with some fresh fruit and fresh-cut grass.
Make yourself a party hat.
If there’s one thing you know how to do at a dance, it’s to have a partyhat.
If your partner is particularly talented at dancing, you could dress them up in a fancy hat and give them the opportunity to show off their skills.
Use a favourite dance song.
If a dance has been particularly special to you, you might find yourself humming the song that inspired the dance to remember it.
For some, this is a very personal thing to do, but it can also be an opportunity to get the celebration started.
If that’s the case, you’ll probably find a song that suits you well and that’s what we’ve rounded up below.
Make something special for your partner.
If the last dancing has been special to both of you, it might be a good idea to have something special to remember them by, such an outfit, a dance mask or even a piece of furniture.
For a small, handmade party, try a piece that’s a part of your wardrobe or the room itself, such that you can show off your party-starting skills, such the mop of hair you’re using.
If this isn’t the case for you, there are plenty of creative ways to decorate your party.
Play a special dance.
There are a number of great dance parties to attend at the end, from big, extravagant celebrations to intimate, intimate gatherings.
Whether your dance was last dance or not, make sure to have the last drink in the glass, make a special gesture and have a great time.
Dance a few more.
Even if you’re just having a small dance, you may find it a great opportunity to add something extra to the experience, such by dancing several more times in your favourite song or by making a dance that’s your favourite one.
